Background
Tokyo Century, an industry leader in the leasing business, approached Tensor Energy to collaborate on an ambitious project: The goal was to convert an existing FIT solar plant in Tokyo Century’s portfolio into a revenue-optimized FIP + battery storage installation, all within an extremely tight timeframe.
Over the course of less than 9 months, Tensor Energy worked closely with Tokyo Century to design and implement fully-automated, AI-driven battery optimization, and functionality to seamlessly run market trading and balancing operations on Tensor Cloud.
Since go-live in mid-2024, Tokyo Century has been able to run all aspects of daily battery operations on Tensor Cloud with an extremely lean team, achieving step-change improvements to revenue generation.

Step 1
Simulate
For solar + storage projects, we start with simulations to find the right battery size for maximum profitability. You can do these either by yourself in your Tensor Cloud workspace, or our team can help you if you want deep customization of the results.
Step 2
Integrate
After the right battery has been selected, we will work with your EPC provider to install an edge device on site that allows you to control your battery system with Tensor Cloud. At this point we will also help you to tune your battery settings for optimal financial results.
Step 3
Go live
Our team will run tests and closely monitor the battery system in the weeks before COD to ensure everything will run smoothly. Before COD we will also provide support around setting up connections to JEPX and OCCTO so you can hit the ground running on day 1.
Step 4
Improve
